Coilovers at stock height

Hey guys, I'm in the market for some coilovers but I need as much height as possible for winters in Alaska. I drive my car year round so I was just gonna slam it in the summer and lift it in the winter. Does anyone know of a coilover model that comes close to stock height without breaking the bank?

you can adjust the height of Pedders Xa coilovers to whatever you want. Heck, you could even go higher than stock if you wanted to.

When adjusting the ride height, you have to adjust the spring perch upwards, up the shock tube itself. Of course you need strength to put it all the way as high as possible because you're fighting against the spring if you're doing the height adjustment while on the car, which makes it harder to get up high, but you can make them go up to about stock height if you have some muscle to get up there.

The Pedders xa coil overs are adjustable to 1" above stock height and down 2" lower than stock height. The Pedders coil overs do not move the spring perch to adjust the height. The strut housing threads into the lower mount so you have the same amount of suspension travel up or down.

Don't forget, if you change the ride height you'll need to get an alignment, or should anyway.

Since the coilovers will be seeing high amounts of snow. I highly recommend a coilover with a STAINLESS body. Let me know if you need more info on the KW coilovers.

Just a little bit of advice. GREASE UP THE THREADS every season. You WILL NOT have fun trying to adjust them seized up.

I just got an alignment today at discount tire center and paid for the lifetime alignment so now I can adjust ride height on my coilovers as much as I want. Also they said they would set me up for track days and put it back when I was done. Great bargin for $189.

This is a great tip. For coilover users in areas of snow/heavy rain I recommend cleaning up the threads after each season. For users in good weather conditions every so often works just fine.
