What is the benefit of matching front and rear sizes?
I noticed that a lot of people like the 1LE has matching tires front and rear. The ZL1 has staggered sizes and it handles pretty well. The Corvette has had different wheel diameters for the last 2 generations and everyone feels that it handles well.
I am uneducated on this subject and was just wondering. Maybe next time I will ask about unsprung weight. Thanks |

Two things:
1. by haveing both wheels/tires the same size, you have the ability to rotate your tires front to back. 2. our cars have a bit of understeer built into them.....by going to the same size on all 4 corners, it brings the understeer to a more neutral position. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Understeer_and_oversteer
