Help with a purchase... loaded white SS.

Hey all, first time registering and posting,... great board!

I'm currently a 2009 Pontiac Victory Red G8 GT (Auto) Owner (15K miles excellent condition, with mods red/blk interior, etc Owe about 14K on car (ally),... and ready to move over to the real deal .. Camaro SS.

My dilemma is trying to figure out how to get the best deal,.... when to purchase, etc ...

Living here in Louisville, KY ... (ford town) ... ford has the X and A plan for pricing, and it's easy to figure out what the best possible deal is ...

but on Chevy I'm not so sure....

Empire Chevy in NC has a car I like ..

Summit White 2 SS Coupe
Automatic
Power Sunroof
Orange Stripe
RS Package
20 in Polished Wheels
Cargo Net
Ground Effects Kit White
Interior Accent Pkg

TOTAL $44,260
Empires eBay BuyItNow price = $41,788 (probably right at invoice)

eBay White SS - loaded

The price on the car is probably at my extreme limit,... but I'm 65 ,,, so don't what to compromise on options, etc ... if I'm gonna buy one, ... I want it My Way!!! (slightly used would also be fine)

Sooooooo, I'm trying to figure out the best approach for getting a car like this at a fair price.

Other than White, I would also accept Carbon Flash Metallic (45th),.. but need the other options... so far, haven't been able to find ANY car with these options closer to me (zip 47130 Southern Indiana)

1. Any similar cars closer to me?
2. Need to find a typical lowest price on this car that a dealer might accept.
3. Need to trade in my car
4. Need to get 72 months @ 0 or 1.9%

If Becky or anyone else in the know, might be willing to help with Tips, pointers, links, etc ... I sure would appreciate it.

I've owned 2 other Camaros in my life ... a self-restored 68 Z28 , and a 89 camaro convertible. the 68 was extremely memorable 13.5 sec 1/4 mile in street tires Island Teal w/ blk vinyl top... the 89 was a DOG .... couldn't get out of its own way ...

thanks again for listening to my situation... look forward to getting my dream car and posting on the board!

Here is 2012 invoice pricing. It works out to 4% off car only MSRP and 12% off the total options, gives you invoice. Works on 2013 too.

Sell your G8 as they are a car in demand. Heck if you where down this way I would look at it. Post a pic or two here.

If you try to trade it is difficult to know where you are on the deal. If you have a car max near by they will give you a BOTTOM offer and you can sell private above that or at least know what a bottom is for trade in.

Note that 2012 is now a year old model. So you get hit with heavy depreciation as soon as you driive off the lot. I would not go a penny over invoice and may want even more off. But that is just me. There will be other Cs if you miss this one. And may give you a better deal on a 2013 order/buy deal. .

Also on a private sale some dealers will work with you and run the G8 thru them and get you the sales tax credit as if you traded in the G8.

Best time to buy is EOM, sports cars winter, and very best end of cal year. Good luck and I hope it is not your last one!

I hear ya,... no matter what,... always take Vasoline with you when you're out purchasing a new car!!!

Here's a few photos of my car when I first got her. Re-badged with Holden Commodore,. Red/Black Interior / Red/Blk steering wheel and shifter from Down Under. Vararam intake, Vector MOtorsports Tune, Solo CatBack Exhaust.

Now I just gotta wait until something positive (72 mos @ 0 comes along. then pounce.

Nice car...I think I'd have a hard time giving that up. That was actually my car of choice until the whole GM/Pontiac fiasco.

Good luck with your shopping.
