2LT Test Drive Review
Hey, Yall I got to finally get a test drive in one of the demo cars at Sam Leman Chevy City in Bloomington, IL which are doing MRSP on this Silver Ice Metallic 2LT RS. I tried to get it, but still paying on my current car and can't get enough for it, but I'm saving up and will be ordering me a 2LT RS Transformers one as I love the new Camaro more than ever now.
Here is my review: The salesman was very nice and I couldn't believe my ears when I asked about the Camaro out front and he stated "Have you driven one yet?" My reply no with my jaw dropping and now mouth watering as even my dealer in Lincoln, IL wouldn't let me or anyone test drive it. So he gets the plates I get in it, which I have sat in about 4 of them and the leather is definitely the way to go. To me over the cloth one I sat in on May 6 the leather holds you up more than the cloth, but the leather just wins by a little bit, but the sides bolsters aren't just quite as good at holding you in on the cloth. By the way I'm 5'6 and 330 so I'm a big boy and I can get in this car just fine and can see great. Walking to it he remote started it and heard it purr and the v6 sounds plenty strong and good almost like the nissans and hyundai sport coupes with the higher pitch, but almost like a v8, which in my book GM has got it right. I got in and just had to adjust the seat a bit and the side mirror. There is some blind spots on this car, especially looking out the back, I wish the rearview mirror was up just a bit farther, may 1 inch at most would have helped visibility out the back, but not even a minor flaw. Out front whoa baby it looks like a gunslit and like I'm piloting a shuttle craft from Star Trek, but in a very cool way with the hood scoop gleam out front with that silver hood shining bright in the midwestern sun early in the afternoon. (hat front end seems like it goes for miles, but it really doesn't as just wait until you try to park one with a parking block in front of you. Yeah I parked it about 2ft back from it. That's the only thing I had trouble seeing is how closed I can get to stuff from the front. )I got on the gas while the salesman got the a/c going as it was a bit warm, but good not hot enough to cook an omlete. It starts off quiet, which is nice, but when pulling out of the parking lot I gun it a bit and she purrs to live like a smallblock v8 whimpering for more. Side view are crystal clears as looking for traffic to clear for a left turn is easy and it was busy as a bee that traffic was. We cruise down the lane and as I read the speedometer I see that the dic has the digital speedo going and I think it is cool as the other side of the pillow. It's definitely needed in town where the smokeys roam as the speedometer guage isn't readable when it comes down to the little numbers. I can't believe how good the handling is over the railroad crossing as I cruise 40 over it and can't feel but just a hair of a bump and stopping power is nice for a no brembo brake package. You feel like you're on rails with those pirellis on the 20's and your just guiding down the road where the camaro takes you and feeling like your on a whispy cloud in the sky. While the salesman is doing his pillow talk and I just nod and converse while enjoying the drive and found myself not even looking at the 4 pack of guages, they're cool, but really when driving it isn't needed except for night to make the interior glow. I saw on the sides where the ABL and it looks cool even during the day. Finally though the salesman tells me to pull into a driveway and head over. The cruise and fun are over for now as I back up getting into position for the drive back he tells me gun it so I push the throttle down about 3/4 of the way and the engine purrs to life not like a kitten, but like a lion singing his v8 glory, but actually being a v6. Nice and definitely will make the Mustang wet itself stoplight to stoplight. As I pull back in now I realize I must have one and will here in the near future put my order in as the interior is flawless and even though may be hard plastic feels soft to the touch and better looking than most the interior's out there including the Hyundai Genesis coupes. When I did pull in it to the space 2ft away from the parking block I can see the camaro's reflection in the glass speaking to me, "You know you want me." Sadly I can't take her home today, but I will have you soon baby soon.

I went to ISU in Bloomington/Normal, graduated in '86. Got to watch out for cops in Normal, what with their stupid low speed limits...30 on a four-lane divided parkway??
So you live in Lincoln, huh? My friend plays in a band around there called The Shake and is from Lincoln originally. There are some fun folks around there. Get the car! John B.
