Camaro Vinyl Strip Scratched
Hey everyone,
So i parked my camaro under a tree and while i was pulling out my back vinyl got scratched really bad, i have the dual stripes and only one of them go messed up bad. I was wondering what would be the best way to fix it. Does the dealer cover the stripes under warranty? how much will it cost me? any aftermarket options i should consider? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Unfortunately GM only covers against cosmetic "defects" and not damage. The only thing I would say to do is take it to the dealer and see what they can do, I don't know how long you've had your car but the dealer will have the proper OEM stuff to fix it with. GL

I would guess no more than $400 + prep/installation charges. You get them from the dealer and you know it will be done right and with OEM equipment. Prices vary per dealer, but you might get lucky depending on how deep the scratches are the dealer might just be able to buff them out.

Talk to your dealer....mine had started peeling at the edge. They said being 3 years old it is wear and tear but in the end charged me $100 for the part and they paid for the install

thanks for your help guys, i will take it to the dealer and see what happens. There are also some minor wood scratches around the trunk area, like i see some marks but when i move my finger over it i dont feel anything. i thought it was just dirt at first but after trying to clean it with soap and stuff its still there.. what would you guys think it is and how to remove it..

There's no way to "Remove" the scratches, just a way to hide the scratches. Just get something like Nu Finish scratch remover and make sure you wax it after.
