Why would I need heat shields and an absorber for?

heat shield I didn't get but I made sure to have double walled tips. The absorber I didn't even use. Looks just like the one the car already has with the exception of some clips which i drilled and made work.

11TexaSS, the quad tips and ZL1 diffuser look delicious. Any more info on the tips?

The absorber-I think some people were saying that this was needed to install the diffuser but I think some were able to do it without the absorber.

The heat shields are what they are. They also complete the ZL1 diffuser look. Personal preference I guess. There's nothing wrong with 11TexaSS's setup. However, I think his tips are a little too close to the diffuser.

I agree, they might be a little close. I just got them put on today. I intend to keep an eye on them. The shields might be a good idea but getting the absorber is just a waste of money.

A member on here gave me a link to the tips. I'll look it up later and post if I find it.
