I know we have some people on the "inside"....

Anyone know how many cars the stripe shop can do per day?

Did they ramp up along with increased production lately?

I've been asking the same question. It seems that cars being striped (factory stripes) are stuck in a rather long delay process, while cars not needing stripes are moving quickly through the system and showing up at dealers (recent builds).

be careful and tell your dealer your going to be very picky. I've seen some that were dealer installed that looked like crap. Have them done right

There is no "Magic" at the factory. I ordered mine without any vinyl at all.

You can bring your car to any quality sign shop or car graphics place and get a better job......a lot CHEAPER and even have stuff customized. Go to local car shows and ask people that had nice work done where they went. No better resource than local car clubs!

I thought most of the stripes were dealer installed at least when I built my 1SS with CGM stripes thats what the option said. I wouldnt think stripes would hold them because GM is either sending them out to local shops in the area or have contracted professionals to come in and do it. Tell me if I am wrong but for somebody that knows what they are doing this cant take anymore than a couple of hours.

White and CGM are normally done at the factory not the dealer. They contracted a local vendor to do all the factory stripes near the plant.

Quick question because I'm confused.

Do the stripes go on before or after the car goes throught QC.

I thought it was after, but say a couple of posts saying it was before.

If it is after then I guess I'll have to wait till I get out of AREA 51 (maybe by mid June if I'm lucky) then go get in line again for a few weeks for stripes. Then they might ship my car. Man, that is a depressing thought.
