Have seen these tracking methods at base of a few posts. I placed an order 2 weeks ago. How do I track the car through production, outside of asking the dealer and where else can I get this info ?
Also, what are the following items( ?? ) and how do I find them ?

Order #
1100 = Preliminary Order:
2000 = Accepted By GM: ??
2500 = Preferenced: ??
3000 = Accepted By Production Control: ??
3100 = Sequenced: ??
3300 = Scheduled For Production:
3400 = Broadcast: ??
3800 = Produced
4000 = Available to Ship
4104 = Bailment Invoice
4106 = Release Bailment
4150 = Original Invoice
4200 = Shipped:
5000 = Delivered To Dealer:
6000 = Delivered To Customer:

When you order your dealer will give you a workbench order with your order number. Your dealer is the only one who can track your number an tell you where you are at in the process. They get updates every Tuesday morning.

sometimes to much information you will drive yourself nuts. but you will have to contact your dealer to get your order number. my dealer sends me an email copy of my workbench order when i ask for one to see if its updated or not.

I have had only a few posts, but am pretty new at this too. I think my car is about 3000, when do you think I could expect delivery? My Dealer is not the best at communication!

have a seat GM will be right with you

honestly no one can tell you that some move pretty fast some go slow. keep in touch with your dealer is the best call him once a week or so and ask if your order has updated. seems to be 7 to 8 weeks from 3000 to built lately if that helps but its no promise so if you dont have your car in that time dont tell me i lied

just kidding. i have been at 3000 since may 5th.

Thanks all. My dealer has been all 'it'll move fast, it'll be here in 6 - 10 weeks, yada, yada, yada. I expected, based on research and most stories here, to be 3 months or so.

If anyone has any 2nd gen questions, I should be able to help. Spent enough time digging through them.
Been waiting for this new Camaro since for years !

Wow what a jump lol 6-10 weeks ... but alot depends on Allocation ... you should ask if they have even sent your order to GM or not lol mine gets shipped 2morrow and im really hoping for the best ... they say mine should be here in 2-3 months

cuz im within 7 of their allocations of newly sent orders

i orderd in first week of may and they said by july. But you cant always think because your order went in before somebody elses that you will get yours first. A lot of it will be allocation to the dealers. Also other production factors and how much you customized your car will depend on when you get it. I would think 6-8 is a good bet right now.

the way i understand it is allocation is only relevant when you are getting to 2000 status meaning if the dealer doesnt have an allocation they cant get it submitted which is 2000 then 3000 means its accepted and in the hands of gm to get into the plant schedule which is 3100 and beyond
