GM Points Question

I am ready to buy a 2013 1LT Camaro, but I have one question about how the GM points can be used. I have the original GM card, so it has limitless points to be stored on it, but I currently only have $1,113 worth of GM Points. My two daughters have there own GM cards, and each of them have over $2,000 worth of GM Points on them. One daughter still lives with me, the other lives about 30mins away.

My question, does anybody know if you can transfer GM points onto different cards, or if you can use multiple GM cards towards a vehicle?

Second question is, how many GM points could I use towards this vehicle? It has a MSRP of 29k, and I am paying 27.4k on it.

All of that info is on the GM card website. even how man point you can redeem on a camaro which is either 1000 or 1500. Usually you can go up to 3000 on Corvettes and Cadillacs

alright thanks, but are there different cards? I have the oldest card and I was able to get $3,000 off of a 2010 Malibu back in 2010. This website only will give I think 1k off of a Malibu.

When my wife & I bought our 2011 Traverse, we got over $5000.00 from the old GM card plus another $1000.00 since we had a Toyota back in 2010.

As long as you are a user of the card you can use the points that are on that card. Only one card redemption per purchase. Yor daughter can call in and have you added to her card verbally or do it on the internet.

My two brothers and I are all on each others cards, thaen whoever is buing a new car gets to use the one with the most points. We all kept the original card with up to $3500.00 off on any car.

Also you can not used the card points if you are getting any promotional or special pricing like partner or military discounts.

Are you telling me that I can transfer points, or are you saying that I can only one card per prchase, so use the one with the most points?

Do you know if you can possibly transfer points though? I have one card that can use unlimited amounts of points, that currently has 1,300 on it. All other cards, the ones that I can only use a max of 1,000 per car, have around 2,200 on them.

Hi skulspike92, your GM Card Earnings Program Rules will have all of the information you need about transferring Earnings and redemption allowances. You can access the program rules by logging into your Earnings account on gmcard.com or by calling the number on the back of your card. Hope this helps!

FYI the redemption allowance (not the original card) for a 2013 Camaro is $1500. I checked on the dealer GM card redemption website.
