Are there many automatic 2012 ZL1's?

I know that the production was limited for the 2012 ZL1's but I'm curious on how many of them were automatics compared to manuals. I drive an automatic and read that it is slightly faster than the manual and has a better quarter mile speed by .1 seconds. Just curious.

Mine is an automatic. I think there are probably more automatics than manuals but don't quote me on that. As far as the time goes I don't think anyone has been able to reproduce the times that Chevy put out any way so it's really up to the driver. It is easier to go fast in an automatic though.

i believe there are more manuals, at least on the ones that were custom ordered. It might be different for the dealer cars, those were mostly black with an auto...

Remember when the camaro first debuted? Most were V8s and most were manuals because the enthusiasts bought them first. I would imagine that it is the same for the ZL1 too. Once everyone else buys one the auto will catch up!

You may be right. I'm just going off of what I've seen. I think out of 5 ZL1's that i've seen in person only one has been a manual and that was 2013.

I figured more would be manuals due to the fact of the die hard car enthusiasts. I like the paddle shifters though. It's nice to at least have the manual feature.

Auto here. From what I've seen in person and loosely following descriptions on this forum, I believe M6 is the majority by a pretty good margin.

As stated above, the autos may be gaining with the 13's rolling out.

On a side note this car has the best Automatic transmission I've ever owned. It's like the car adapts to your driving habits and shifts at just the right time. I'm so much more pleased with it than I thought I would be.
