3/8 iceolator + Ported Manifold

Has anyone dyno'd the hp increase with the 3/8 iceolator and ported manifold? All the dyno numbers are using a combination of the 1inch and the ported manifold. Just curious because I know the 3/8 size lends itself to more hp in the higher rpms.

You'll probably get higher hp but less tq

I'm thinking I read that the 3/8 gave more tq than HP and the 25mm vice versa. I could be backwards though.

I also think the 3/8 would give more hp, but I would be curious to see how much with the Ported IM.

Check either the vendor section under v6 bolt ons or search in this section there are dynos posted. Diff between the 3/8" and 1", both with the ported IM - the 3/8" made literally a couple hp more on the top end. the 1" made just a little more in the lower rpm. Maces Ported IM and the 1" is either 31 or 33rwhp. Going from memory but in that ballpark.

Your correct!

The mace makes more low end torque and the black ice makes more hp at the top!

Really up to you. Just remember, torque wins races. Plus our car isn't really that slow once it gets going but its getting it out of the hole that is a challenge. I personally went with the mace for the added torque down low to do just that. Also, you can really feel the low end torque when driving on the streets. I really like that as well. Most have said that the rx really doesn't kick in until 4000 and since I'm usually never there while daily driving, I opted for the mace.

if you go to the dyno sticky your will see my latest dyno. I have the 3/8 iceolator and the mace ported manifold. My prior dyno was 254 before those mods on a dynometer. I then installed the 2 pieces and got 254 on a mustang dyno which the geneneral concensus is usually reads around 15-20% lower, the dyno op even told me that, so my 254 on a mustang could really be anywhere between 292 and 304 hp, plus it was 90 degrees and high humidity the day I went

We have both the 3/8" and 1" (1" in stock) and the diff we saw was the 1" gives 3-5 more tq down low and above 5,000 rpm it was app 14 rwhp lower than the 3/8". So get the 1" if you dont run for quickest ET at the track and the 3/8" if you do.
