Changing up the stripes on the Bee

So I have had my camaro for a little over a month and I have decided to change from the stock rally stripes. The only problem I am having is wether or not its going to leave ghosted lines where the stripes used to be. Some people have said its near impossible to remove them and others have said after a couple washes/wax and a little time it will be pretty much gone...So I want to know if the ghosted lines can be removed or how long they take to go away with time. I really want to change them but I don't want to have new stripes and them ghosted lines from my old ones.
