Problems with bluetooth

I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with their bluetooth in their camaro? I paired mine and added my contacts or "tags" as the voice calls them and everything seems to be working fine up until I try to make or receive a call. I will tell the car to call a specific number and it shoes on the screen that it's dialing and then, nothing. Never rings or does anything. Just goes away. Then if I have a call coming in my phone will ring, not in the car speakers as it should, and I will answer and it's total silence. If I'm anywhere near the car with my phone, say in my drive way for example the phone wont work properly either. I thought it could be an interference with the onstar but I contacted them and it's not. I'm wondering if it may be a mechanical issue or am I missing something. Anyone have a ideas?

Bluetooth has worked flawlessly for me. I paired my phone and the first few times it did not work right. Come to find out I had to tell my phone it was ok to connect to the car each time I entered it. Now I have the phone set to not ask me but just do it. No problems since.

I use it all the time... the "ok to connect" checkbox got me too...

That sucks for me cause now I have to take it to the dealer and have it checked and everyone will be swarming all over it. Hell, people do that when I just run to 7 eleven. Can't go anywhere without people around it.

Try a different phone... now that I think of it I did have an issue with my wifes phone. But all i did was pair it and try it once. I'll check again and post back.

There are different kinds of bluetooth signals. Not all phones will work on different receivers. I have an older phone that has bluetooth but I suspect it will not work in the new Camaro. I plan on buying a new compatible phone if it does not work.

Had to also turn on the "ok to connect" feature on my phone.

I have the Blackberry Storm. Otherwise the phone connects fine and the car can receive and send calls without any problem.

One thing that I did notice; and maybe I am just not tech savy enough was that I could not transfer my contact list to the car. I ended up entering the numbers that I call the most by "hand." Well I had to manually import them through the "add a contact" feature on the car's bluetooth system.

Didn't know if anyone had a way to get around this, or if this is just the way the system was setup?

Problem solved...

I solved the "bluetooth" problem by not eating blueberry pie.

Tried my wifes phone again and it worked like a champ... I actually have a spare phone that I'm going to just leave plugged up in the console all the time.

I did try adding another phone but it is the exact same model as mine. They are both Rumors by Sprint but neither one worked. They aren't even a year old yet so who knows. Maybe they just aren't compatible. I will find out but I've got to have my bluetooth (and no, not by eating blueberry pie) because I can't shift and talk on the phone at the same time. Before I had a 6 speed I could eat, put on makeup, talk on the cell phone, and balance my check book all at the same time

sir5er....you should make sure you are using the latest firmware for your LG Rumor phones. Check under Settings - Phone Information. These phones have been known to have this issue. What is your firmware version? I believe the latest firmware version is V09.

I have a blackberry and it works great for me. I like to keep the option of accepting the connection when I want to, otherwise it will automatically connect and if you want privacy on the phone your hosed.
