That's not a 99.

That's a 96-98 and I think was good for high 13s, low 14s stock. Mid to low 13s with a good driver.

its a 98...Canary Yellow was only on the Cobra in 1998. You should have no problem beating him if he only has a tune. He has a good weight advantage on you but not enough to make up 100 less hp and even less tq. I have a 1998 Cobra Coupe ran high 13's (13.7-13.9) stock. Ran a best of 13.04 @ 109 with some exhaust and full aftermarket suspension.

Depends on if that puppy was trying to bite you and refused to stop trying. Sometimes it takes a firm 'humbling' to get the point across for those who are more persistent and can't understand when they are outmatched.

With the right driver and the right launch those cars can run pretty good... for their time, but no where near a threat to you (STOCK). My brother ran 13.40's @104 with his 100% stock... street tires and all. His was a 1998. As you can see... though the time is decent they lack the mph our cars have. I guess that happens when your makeing 100 less hp.

This is what will happen you will be racing him and you will get a car length ahead... then you will think hes not racing... and you will slow down some... then notice his engine is rapping out at high rpms... then you will punch it again instantly pulling cars... then you will be like damn... I want my gas money for this race. Because you should obliterate him if he is in stock form.

make sure he doesn't have a rear gear swap. I ran a 13.1@108 with gears,cold air, full exhaust and a tune(97). That's what the best drivers are getting with our cars('10+ ss, 6 speed manual) on factory Pirellis.

The 98's 500lb weight advantage is insufficient in making for it's 100+ fewer hp.

My '89 5.0 ran 13.98 with a catless Flowmaster system, and slicks. No other mods. My '99 Cobra ran 13.24 completely stock. The '98 should run mid 13's or better, if driven correctly.
