Speculation of when 2011 model will come out

It looks like I wont be able to order mine till around my birthday (November). Should I wait till the 2011 model to come out, or buy a used 2010 SS (if I'll be able to find one)? Problem is, will GM even make a 2011 model? And will it even have the power of the ls3 due to the CAFE rules. So will it even be worth it to wait? What ever shall I do...:(

Order or buy? If you can BUY it in November you better order now. I would guess that the 2011 MY won't start until around June or there abouts.

2011 model year will be at the same time as the rest of the cars Sept - Oct of next year. Ordering may start around June or July and the Verts. could come out early as May 2011.

well, here's a more important question...... what, if anything, do you think they will change about the '11 model, to make it better than the '10 model.????

Other than fix the Brembo Brake issue

Depends on what issues come up in the regular production models over the next couple of months, some may be just modifications or changes occuring during the regular MY production. If side view mirrors getting knocked off (either by the driver, or other vehicles) becomes an major issue they will consider making them fold away,; another mirror issue is a slimmer version of the inside review mirror.

Down the road, manufacturers make changes to the front and rear facia sections since they're typically "easier" to modify and re-engineer without having to change the "dies" - for major body panels. Body pannels are expensive and generally require re-engineering of other parts. Look for the back-up lights to be moved.

Expect to see modifications to the dash, perhaps the passenger side will have a logo or something embossed on it. The center console will probably have a different type of cup holder.

The wild card are V8 engines, especially with GM meeting the CAFE requirements and government having major part in decisions that have anything to do with being energy efficient and "green". (A hybrid Camaro??????????)

I think fold-away mirrors would be an excellent idea and could be done in a way that does not detract from the current look. I also like the idea as it will be one more thing that makes the 2010's unique from future models. Little things like this, combined with a low(er) VIN and an Early Order Code will be great in 30 years.
