Camaro Test Drive in Mississauga Today and Tomorrow

Hello everyone, I checked with GM Canada regarding a test drive and here was their response:

Thank you for your email.

We are pleased to advise you that the next Mall Tour event will be located at:
Erin Mills Town Centre.
500 Erin Mills Parkway
Mississauga, ON
L5M 4Z5

The event is scheduled for May 28, 2009 to May 31, 2009. Test drives will be conducted on Saturday and Sunday. The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro will be on display and available for test drives.

I went this morning and along with the test drive of the 2010 Camaro SS and Corvette I received a $10.00 gas card as a gift.

I will try to scan in the entire schedule later today.

Hello, you just register and wait your turn to drive, a number of cars avaliable besides the vette and camaro.

I went to the Vaughan Mills Test Drive day, about 2 weeks ago and it was great. Do they set up a course in the parking lot, and whereabouts in the mall is it?

Hello, no set course we just drove around the mall on the outside roads. It is set up at the north-west corner in the parking area by the Pizza Pizza and the KFC.

asom thanks for the heads up ill be going there later on today after lunch to test drive the SS. btw is the SS the auto or 6speed im assuming the auto for stupid proof purposes.

I just drove this car...at Erin Mills. I was looking at a V6.. no i am tempted to get the 1SSR.. car drove sweetly!

I just got back from driving the SS, same one from Vaughan Mills two weeks ago.
Loved the layout here, as it was an open course, and they took you on the city streets around the mall. You get a great feel for the car, instead of in an enclosed course like at Vaughan Mills. At one point, I had slow traffic in the right lane, whereby cars were entering the mall, and I was able to push the Camaro and pass the cars on the left, what a rush! I could tell the GM rep. was clamping down in his seat; I wasn't going that fast . I talked to a guy who is getting his car on Wed. and another guy, who is thinking of ordering, and I told him...GO FOR IT!

Same here! I think i'll stick with the V6 though. I don't want to lose all the nice options you get with the 2LT, and i'm sure as hell not going all the way up to a 2ss.

As a truck guy, my first impression was 'holy shit, i cant see whats 10 feet in front of the car! Definitely looks like what i imagine driving a tank would be like. But wow, she's a fun drive. Loved the paddle shifters on the steering wheel... downshifting into a turn was pretty neat. I'll stick with the manual trans though. Wow. I might have to go to the next test drive event that's around here to get my fix. November seems so far away!

Weird omen: Just as I was leaving my house a nice black 2nd Gen SS cruised right past my driveway! Too bad i didnt have my camera handy
