....dealer gave me an order number and he said i could track my order on gm site???????

No, not the case. The dealer - not you - can track your order on the GM Workbench website, which the dealer (your Sales Rep) has access to. Since your rep didn't know this, might wanna go to his boss and ask him (a) if you can call him for status updates, and if not (b) who he has on his team that knows what he's doing when it comes to the new Camaro... because that's who you want to work with.

GM used to let you track your order on gminventory.com but not any more....
