Purchasing blue HID's - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I am trying to buy HID's to get blue headlights for my 2012 RS. I do not know whether I have to buy a whole new pair of halos to replace the stock ones to achieve this or if I can just buy replacement bulbs or a conversion kit. Does anyone know what the best route to take would be?

Replacement bulbs would be easiest. They are D1S bulbs. 6000 or 8000k bulbs is what your looking for.

So I would not have to replace the stock halos? I could leave them in after installation of the replacement bulbs?

Do you want to change the color of the halo to blue also or just the bulb?

sounds like u need 10,000k hid headlights to get that blue u want

. i have 10k hid on mine and i was trying to find a front picture to show you. its floating somewhere on this forum

oooooooooooooo blue halo. good luck with that around police officers. hell i got pulled over for my tag light being "blue" twice

Well I read the traffic law and the law states that your headlights cannot be red or flash but other colors are alright. HID conversion kits are also getting cracked down on, but I think I should be alright if I can get my headlights to look like this

well i know in florida it cant be flashing any color and blue/red are not suppose to be on the outside of the car anywhere. thats why some people do green, orange, purple etc. i know you would be ok with HIDs being blue(i mean bright white)

I'm not saying you won't get stopped but hey, its your car. Either way, if u have the rs package there are two ways to go about this.

Either jdp or Aac halos. Jdp doesn't require you open your headlamp, while Aac requires you open them so you can put a colorshifting halo inside

You don't want blue HID. You want blue halos. At least that's what's in the pic you posted. If you get blue HID you won't be able to see a damn thing at night. Making your car useless but at least you will look cool in your eyes.

Alright great, I think this answers my questions. Thank you all. I think I am going to only go with blue halos and I will have to check the prices on each brand before I decide on one. Any recommendations for fog lights to match?

Don't go to AAC. Bad customer service. And get something besides blue or you will get tickets.

just make sure your halos have a switch to turn on and off. cuz blue halos will get you pulled over
