Smile DIC software update request

Instantaneous MPG not just average on MPG screen please.

This should be an easy update.

My daughter's Mazda has this. My wife's Ford has a graphical indicator for instantaneous MPG. I agree this should be easy.

I'd also like to see the HUD display the gear I am in for a manual, like it does for an auto. I'm sure I can think of a few more.

And just what good would it do?
That instant reading is pretty much worthless.

I have that on my Corvette, and never use it.
I can make it read anywhere from 4 mpg to 80 mpg.

Go down a long grade on the interstate where you are just coasting, and it will read 50+ mpg.
But then you have to go back up the other side and you can watch the instant reading fall into the single digits.

Neither of those readings are doing you any good as far as your real mpg goes.

There is no need for it.

I had this on a car a while back. Played a game on a hill that I could coast on and get it to 99 mpg - the highest it could go since it was 2 digits. Other than that it was worthless. I don't even remember if it was on either of my Corvette's...

Worthless feature, My Impala has it and its just like the others said. You can add this feature yourself with an UltraGauge.

My Monte Carlo had it as well....never used it, instead I was wishing for an average mileage indicator just like the one we NOW have on our Camaros, that of which I use ALL the time

+1 for the gear showing up on the manual. Maybe even a shift light of sorts...have the entire HUD blink rapidly as you near redline and go solid when you are at or above.

I have it on my Honda. You learn to ignore it quickly. Absolutely useless.
