DIY for muffler delete??
Can anyone tell me how they did their muffler delete? Do I have to have pipes bent to go where mufflers are? Pics and explanation would be greatly appreciated.

If you buy an axle back kit the instructions will show/tell you where to cut the pipes before the mufflers.different munufacturers different places to cut the pipie. In those kits is everything you need to do the job pipes are already bent. A lot of people weld them on so they don't move around. Some clamps are better than others.
Me on the other hand I took the car to my muffler guy. He cut the mufflers off, bent each pipe to perfection and welded them on. I bought 4" Magnaflow stainless steel tips from him and welded on. $65 for the muffler delete $120 for the tips. $185 vs $400+.Only thing is YOU will have some rasp if your running it hard at launch, and you will have some drone going down the highway. Some don't like it and have a x pipe installed midway up the car where the resonator is. I don't stand on it all the time so I don't get the rasp at lights. The highway, I just turn the music up. I like my choice and enjoy the delete. Good luck |
