Chevy 800 # are you kidding me?
Ok, I have been fairly patient waiting for my car, until today. That's it, had enough, called customer service! I now know why GM is going under, they out source to a country that hates us!
I called with my number 71-704856948 and got my lady I finally had enough of her run-around and asked for her supervisor, got Mike Hall, sounds American doesn't it? Yeah, no it's not. So to make a long story short, they told me to talk to my dealer, I said I did, he has no info, that's why I'm calling you. My dealer does not have my VIN, the CS said it's in transit, I said why does my dealer not have that info, he said please wait a minimun of 3 to 5 minutes and I will let your dealer know this. No kidding. I couldn't make this nightmare up! Anyway it's in transit I guess, so I asked Mike what the VIN was then, He actually said....wait for it... they don't get a VIN until they get to the dealers!!! WHAT![]() ![]() ![]() I am frustrated and nobody cares!!! I deserve to be treated better than this, no wonder people have gone elsewhere. I won't because this will be the only Camaro I buy, but seriously, you can't treat Americans like Middle Easterns! FLAME AWAY! |

It sucks but most of us on here know that the 1-800 number is no good and it's best to just wait it out or talk with your dealer.
Sorry you had the bad experience but don't waste your time anymore. Also, I don't think GM really knew what they were doing with this type of system. They weren't prepared for thousands of people to call in about their car, considering in most cases no one would ever do that, even if you ordered a car and had to wait for it. |

Ok, I'm really not racist, like a PM implied by getoverit (even I see the humor of the user name) anyway as I stated to him in short, I think GM was wrong to outsource when so many Americans are out of work and with CS, you'd figure you could get CS. Why not tell me they don't have the info and tell me who does, all I want is a VIN so I can get financing, not when it'll get here.

What time did you call? I have called the customer service line a number of times and talked with someone within the country who was definitely American. If you call during off hours or something you are bound to get someone out of the country.
