I'm such a DUMB A** UPDATED :)
Well get ready to laugh your heads off :( Two reasons I don't work on my own Cars!
1.) If something can go wrong it will. 2.) I have no idea what I'm doing. I got a black rear spoiler to go on my car for a little different LOOK! So i think how hard can it be to put it on :( Well I got all the bolts off and the Spoiler comes off nicely and there is this wire, goes into the trunk lid. I think must be for a lighted Spoiler 3rd brake light? I'll never need that so I just snipped it. :( F&*&^K < It's the freaking antena for the damn radio :( GRRRR HENCE SKIPPY will never again pickup a tool and go near my or any car again" EVER". << Now I got to go to the dealers and look like a dumb a** and tell them what I did. :mad0 259: O well such is LIFE I WAS ABLE TO SPLICE IT! I got TUNES again YEAAA < Harness I cut was $485.oo to replace <<< Ouch <<< Last edited by skipinminn; 11-09-2012 at 05:19 PM. Reason: UPDATED :) |

Skippy leave the mods for the professionals. As for the dealer tell em' your dog ate it. If they can lie to the customer's so can the customer's lie to the dealer. It's a mutual respect thing.

Go to the dealer you bought it from and tell them your radio never worked and you don't know why LOL. Then get it fixed under warranty lol. Just put the old spoiler on first

It's always nice to hear that there are fellow numbskulls about. When printers for PCs first came out, I bought one, unpacked it, and stood it proudly on the desk. Then I noticed a loop of plastic ribbon sticking out the back, which I assumed was transit packing or something, so I snipped it off. That's the moment I noticed all the tiny copper wires held within the ribbon....OOOPS!! The retailer I bought it from was courteous enough not to laugh in my presence at least, as I orderd a new ribbon to plug back in.
I learned to follow all wires and ribbons back to their source if possible from that point. |

Get some butt connectors and some crimpers/strippers and fix it. Takes like 2 minutes.
