Camaro Owners Taking Pride In Doing It Yourself
When we fixing our cars and buying mods we need help. Just wanted to see how many owners have attempted to fix their Camaros whether it be changing the brakes, wheels or oil. What have you done yourself and been successful at it?
Take pride in doing it yourself and being more independant save some extra money for mods. So if you have done anything feel free to post before and after pictures and we'll definately salute you on a job well done. |

I try to do as much of my own work as I can. I change my own oil, brakes etc. I only take my car in if I absolutely don't have a clue on what to do. In the next week my camaro will be having some modifications done to it that I plan on doing myself. Take pride in your are and learn how to do the work on it. Nobody will respect your car as much as you.

Catback, Cold air, Painted bow ties and engine cover, side flags, short throw shifter I have done.
Plan on headers and painting dash and door panels. Maybe a cam. |

yeah at first i was nervous as hell just thinking about it but the more I researched the more confident I started to feel. I've read a ton of material and this site has been very helpful in many of the decisions I've made. This is really just me and my wife project. She has been great help and supportive.

umm probably removing the whole front end to doing the vertical door hinges is probably my most nervous job, but ive done almost all the work on my car im proud to say.

I do most things myself. Installed my RX catch can and splash guards. Helped a friend do my window tint. Change my fluids and rotate tires myself. If it wasn't under warranty I pull engines and transmissions myself too, lol.

Where to begin lol. I did the fuel pump, supercharger, wired in my boost pump, adm boost / AF gauges, cam and valvetrain, suspension work, catch can, rebuilt my tr6060, catch can, bodywork, driveshaft....the list is endless! I'm a GM technician so it helps having the tools and access to a lift!
