The owner of this car has been talkin crap about my car ever since he found out my car is getting turbocharged so I suppose this belongs here.please move if it should be somewhere else.. anyway all I know is its a 97 I think and that it is supercharged.. truthfully I couldn't give a crap if he could beat me in race but he said his car ran a 11.7 at 165 mph.. shouldnt either the time or speed be lower for either of those numbers to make sense?

Thats about 50MPH faster than you need to go to run those kind of times. BS flag on that for sure.

bs for sure. My 95 331w/vortech S-trim was not near that trap speed ( and i was putting down 463RWHP)

umm im pretty sure with that trap speed he'd be running close to or at 8's. Thats def bullshit to put in perspective my SS trailblazer ran a 11.81 at 125 i believe ill have to double check the time slips again, but it was around there so yea this guy isnt running 165 in the 1/4

a supercharged 97 mustang gt would be lucky to run low 13's.

Not a chance in hell. I have 1100rwhp and trap in the 150's.

If he said 125 then ok, but 165 is in the 8 second category.

Yup that's about what I was thinking after looking at the fast list down in the drag racing section... He conveniently doesn't have this time slip either. Oh well.. thanks for the confirmation everyone just needed to make sure I wasn't the one that was wrong.

If he's running 11s he doesn't have anywhere near a 1997 FORD motor in there. The 4.6 SOHC was 215 HP(325ish with blower @ crank). The Cobras were 305 and 420-450ish with a blower @ crank. The Cobras would maybe dip into mid 12s with a blower. We need LTs, Cold air and some drag radials to dip into mid 12s. race him stock and see what happens.

If thats a stock non PI 4.6 motor that has been supercharged I bet you could beat him without a turbo upgrade. Some people just be hatin.

I'm thinking a completely stock SS would beat a 97GT with blower unless there is other serious work involved on that GT.
