GM Customer Service ?

What information does GM customer service use to check an order? Are they just looking at the Workbench?
My saleman told me his workbench gets updated every Thursday.

So its basically a waste of time for me to check with him more than once a week. Does GM customer service workbench details get updated in real time? Or is their information only updated once a week?

my dealers updates all happend on tuesdays. and there have been several post here that when u call GM CS and they put you on hold, they are calling your dealer to get the info. some dealers get pissed!

just call your dealer, or stop in say every 2 weeks and have them check while your there. don't bug em', they are busy.

my dealer checked all Camaro workbenches every morning and emailed those of us that changed event codes. which again, seemed to be every tuesday.

I usually email my saleman every Saturday. Then he emails me back with the bad news ("nothings changed").That's been my system. But during the week, I usually make a call to GM customer service for a check. Because 3 weeks ago, my saleman emailed me told me to come in and sign some paper work because my car was on its way (to be delivered on May 18th). But when I called GM customer service, they told me my car had not been shipped and was in QC.
So in my case, GM customer service had the correct information and my dealership did not. So I like to check both to see if they're in agreement.

But I don't want to call GM customer service more than once a week if their information isn't updated.

I have never called the 800 #. Do they really call your dealer every time you call? If so no point in even calling them....just call the dealer

800 # does nothing but say your car is online and stuff like that I believe they have no clue they told me last week my car was still at the plant and I have an inside to the ship yard in Newark and they believe my car is sitting there. SO they are useless don't waste your time just talk to your dealer.

Dudes, have your sales person call the Dealer business center on speaker phone,and they will have the true update on your camaros.If they say they don't have the number they are idiots!!
