Transmission leak on 2012 m6 SS

Only 1 year old, just a little leak on the ground. Any ideas? 8k miles, no other symptoms.

Another question, should I take out my skip shift before going to the dealer for warranty? No other mods that should affect the warranty.

Do just that , but keep in mind that when they look in to the ECU they will know that was done , if they ask if so ....tell them so .

We cannot guarantee that the repair can be covered under warranty because of the modification, but it doesn't hurt to get a diagnosis at the dealership to see what the cause of the leak is. Please let us know the outcome.

The skip shift eliminator will not cause a fluid leak. Are you certain that it's trans fluid?

Does it look like the leak in post #7123 in the thread below? This has been a problem for several folks, and I believe there has been a TSB for this in the past.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...38595&page=285

BTW:
A skip shift eliminator has nothing to do with a tranny leak and will not void the warranty (many of the dealerships are installing them for buyers).
And it will not record on the ECU. That's the purpose of the eliminator. It simulates the connection to the solenoid so the system doesn't trip a code.

You can while you're under there looking for the leak, but don't let them snow you that a leak was caused because you shifted into 2nd when you could have shifted into 4th...

Take it to the dealer. I'll bet anything it's a coolant leak. Looks just like trany fluid. TSB on cross threaded fitting in block.

You were right. They didn't care about the skip shift eliminator either obviously since the transmission had nothing to do with the problem.
