Are the Chrome Tail Light Rings/Bezels a separate piece of the tail light assembly and thus removable?

2nd question....are they plastic chrome or hopefully metal/chromed?

Reason i ask is i would like them to be black chrome.

if they are plastic chrome.....what are my options?

Well, unless they're glued together, they've gotta come off somehow. Time for a trip to the bead-blaster.
