Flowmasters Anyone?
Im not good at all with the speed stuff [CAI's, headers, exhaust, and so on...]
But i do recall that I put flowmasters [i think flowmaster 44] on my Monte Carlo LTZ 2006. I would like to know if putting flowmasters give a bit of a gain because I really can't afford the Borla Exhaust setup, or is flowmasters just for a deeper tone? [It sounds real nice on my Monte]. I recall spending somewhere around 300-400 for my Flowmasters. (Hopefully i didn't get ripped off!) Thanks in advance.

It may add a couple horses, but to see any real gain you'll need a competent tune done as well, to take advantage of the slightly freer exhaust. I'm of the mind that if I am going to add a better muffler, also going to add a better intake
at a minimum (CAI); even the real good ones are affordable these days and in combination (with a tune) can give you noticeable improvements.
