I was told today that my dealer got a letter from GM that they are closing. I heard this from someone else, not the dealer so it may not be true, I will call tomorrow to find out. Anyways, my question is what happens now? I have already received my car and had planned on just taking it to them for oil changes and maintenance. If they close I guess my only option is to go to jiffy lube or some other place for an oil change??? And if there is a recall where do I go? Can I go to any other chevy dealer?

That really stinks.....I work as a service advisor at a Chevrolet dealer.I have for the last 14 years.You can take you car to ANY Chevrolet (or GM,sorry) dealer for service or recalls.

Worry not, you can get any service you need at any GM dealship.

yeah your one of the lucky ones think of the guys who ordered and aren't going to recieve their cars now... you can go to any GM car dealership, it doesn't have to be chevy

you can go to any chevy dealer. I dont know the rules about how far away you are from one, or even if this exist. But you can probably go to a cadillac, GMC dealer as well. Now as far as your order, it might be cancelled all together depends on when they are closing, you might want to confirm that

The dealer warranties have always been national by design. Because of people moving around. They have 250 million or so in emergency warranty coverage (The government) that has not even been tapped yet so don't worry.
