Will the 20'' rims fit in the trunk? (spare tire option)

Anyone know if the RS package wheels will fit in the trunk in case of a flat? Seems like the rims might not fit if you have the battery and stuff also in the trunk?

I'm trying to decide on whether to get the spare tire or not.

You aren't seriously thinking this, are you? BTW, the front and rear tires are different sizes, so you'll have to get two. Maybe one will fit in the back seat.

trunk is pretty big, opening is just small. But pretty sure tire would fit but like he said two different sizes technically.

I know that the spare tire is compact but when you get a flat you need to put your flat tire in the trunk and the small one on the car so I wanted to make sure the 20'' wheels will fit in the trunk.

Sorry if that is a stupid question but I did see the trunk and while the trunk is an ok size, the opening for the trunk was really small and I wasn't sure if it would fit. I know the front and back tires are different sizes.

OK, good point. Being flat is going to make it easier to fit though.

All trires are the same outside dim. The rim size dose not make the outside of the tire any differant. Yes. they will fit in the truck but not down it the spair tire well. If you are looking to put a full size spair in there. From wait I read I don't think this is what you are going to do.

For the 1LT. I was also wondering if the spare tire in the trunk will affect trunk space compared to the inflator thing.

You just get the smaller or front full size. Dont need to carry two.

I dont know if this is the case with the Camaro but it can be cheaper
to order a full size spare with matching rim at time of ordering car then
buying one later through parts.

I have done this before for a couple reasons.

1.) If you do get a flat you are not driving around with a dorky donut.
2.) No donut speed limit to keep it under.
3.) No donut maximum mileage to use it. So no immediate hurry to get the other tire repaired or replaced.
4.) Curb rash a front and you have a immediate replacement.
5.) If you havent needed it you sell it before getting rid of the car.
