clicking,tapping noise/ Suspension or inside

I have had a tapping noise coming from the front of my 2012 SS for the past few months. At first I thought it was from the end links on the Phadt ZL spec sway bars I installed. I notice it most at very slow speeds in a parking garage I use all the time. If i roll the windows down the volume and pitch stay the same. During normal freeway driving you don't hear it. Could it be from behind the dash inside the car or firewall? I have been over even nut and bolt in the front (and rear) suspension and I cant seem to find an issue. I even dyna matted the underside of the car and the sound has not changed.

IS IT THE END LINKS OR SOMETHING ELSE?
HELP!

If you feel like this may be a recurring issue, your dealership may be in the best position to diagnose this concern. Please let us know if this is the route you decide to take!

I have experienced the same noise in my 2011 2SS RS during turns at very slow speeds in a parking garage I use daily, especially with the windows down, and mostly left turning, -going up-, never hear it when exiting down and making left turns. For awhile I thought I had a rock or something wedged in the tread of the front tire(s). At the time I first noticed it, it seemed to come and go, btw, the car had less than 20,000 miles on it when first heard. Was using the stock summer rims & tires staggered setup at the time. My guess is that it is a ABS sensor or something of the like has a close tolerance. I sure hope it's not a wheel bearing, i had a car one time with a shot bearing and the noise was similar but much louder on turns. good luck with your further diagnosis Ponykiller511

Tapping Noise

I get the same noise also. I seem to notice around the shift from first to second gear and thought it might be the transmission and didnt think it was an issue and i have been hearing it since the firs week i bought it so i figured it was just something that was supposed to happen. But definatly post if it is an actual issue.

I have a noise, similar to what you would hear when lifters are going bad, but its not as loud. The dealer says its the High Flow Fuel Pump located in the passenger side under the hood.. It does tend to be louder when the tank is almost empty. He says its "normal", I am dealing with it through GM right now along with several other issues. Good luck.
