First time noob! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hello all, just joined these forums and already loving it! Lots of info + good reads. Anyway, I just got my first car (I'm currently leasing it but I will be purchasing the car at the end of the lease) and I want to mod it. It's a 2012 Camaro 2LS Inferno Orange. I've never modded a car before so I would love to hear some ideas of what I should do. My plan is to upgrade the engine first with an exhaust and cold air intake, and then do some changes to the look of the car, and finally new rims + tires.

So any ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Sounds like you already have your mods planned out. Do what you like and make it your own.

One word of advise;
Don't mod your car, then post pictures and ask for opinions unless you're ready for the thrashing. You ask for an opinion, you'll get thousands...

Haha, thanks for the advice but I'll take the thrashing like a man! I'm sure I'll make some mistakes on the way but I know with help from all the users on this board and all my research I'll be able to make it my dream car!

Nice color. I'm looking to trade mine for either a used 2SS/RS or new 2LT/RS, I'm weighing the gas options as a long distance daily driver for now. I'm going to most likely go with Victory Red or IOM myself.

Welcome aboard ! I hope you have skin made out of teflon because some people are really harsh. But all the others are great and definitely outweigh the bad. This is my favorite site when I have time to just relax and learn about the cars and see what others are doing to give me ideas. Exhaust and CAI are a great start. I highly recommend a clear bra, Xpel is what I have, but depending on what you are doing cosmetically you better wait til those mods are done first.
Just remember one thing.
