Ones you pull back the red tab you still need to push in on the connecter , next to the red tab is the point to push in and then pull out the connector.

So much for being able to do it drunk, naked, with one hand while watching tv.

You were supposed to be smoking too? Haha. Youre gonna love it!! So?........

Also for those thinking about getting one, notice bobsleds pic showing the rough casting and lip on the inside of the stock TB, those are gone in the ported one.

Yeah, I just went around the block a couple times, kinda hard to really appreciate. But yes, I noticed a difference.

I've read mixed reviews on TB's, in your opinion, is it really worth the cash?

For the net cost of around $175 ($155 +10 shipping for the unit and $10 for the core return) its def worth it. Once you see the lip and rough casting inside the stocker you will appreciate how much better the machined one is. JMO.

So after I installed a CAI cai, and magnaflow exhaust and the air scoop and stuff I was really really against doing the PTB. Afterall, dyno tests only showed a gain of about 3 to 5 hp. Kinda marginal in my book so I was like "why bother?" Then posts started showing up about added responsiveness w/ the PTBs. So, in the end I said I need to check this out.

After installing one, I drove around the block 2x. Ok, kinda cool. The next day I drove on the freeway and that's when I could really feel the difference. It's much more responsive and the car almost feels faster. Exhaust seemed louder overall and for sure at points where auto trans shifts gears. Before I knew it I was going 85 (65 max).

So, yeah, I say it's worth it.

I paid $150 shipped to me and $11 return shipping = $161.

Only way to get around that is to either buy a new one ( much more than $200 and you don't get it back) or ship yours to them first and they won't charge a core charge.

Just for kicks, I looked up how much one of the GM parts vendors on here wanted for a brand new one when I was sent my PTB as it was in the box w/ the P/N and that vendor wanted $156.

Still, no need to buy anything unless you want a $156 paper weight. The vendors on here are awesome and you will get you core deposit as soon as you return it.
