Ok, let's hear your stories.

I can't tell you how many people have acted like an expert about this car and sound like the biggest dumbasses.

Had a guy ask me about my car the other night and then tell me that he loves the one his brother bought 'LAST YEAR' and how his neighbor has 2 of them and bought the SECOND one in DECEMBER.

Or the salesman who came into the office earlier today telling me that they aren't making the V8 until October. This was particularly fun because what started our conversation was the fact that there was one sitting in the parking lot outside. (mine) Before I could tell him it was mine he said "That one outside is the V6" I said "Noooo I think it's a V8" to which he responded, "I have been a Camaro fan since I was a boy and I follow it closely" (now I'm enjoying this) he continues "I can't beleive someone allready has one. I wanted to be the first to get one as soon as they hit the lots."

Needless to say it was fun to take him outside and 'educate' him. He was pretty cool after that and good humored enough for me to tell him he may want to pick a different proffesion because he can't BS worth a damn.

Any similar stories. I really have a number of them but I'd have to write a book to share them all.

That was a good story! I'm sure I'll have a few after I get my car, alot of guys around the office are the same way.

Oh, I had a few stories from before I even got my car. One guy tried to tell me that the first 5000 VINs were all bought up by celebreties. Uhhhh....... unless Trent, Scott, and the rest of the gang is famous,. FAIL

At the KC Auto Show, it took upon myself the responsibility of educating the fools who looked at it and started guessing information. "That's 6.2L, not 6.0; and that is a 29-mpg V6, not 22."

I work full time for the Army National Guard and my current duty has me pushing paper. So behind my desk I have a pic of a CGM 2010 on the wall. In March, one of the knucklehead Privates that works in my building said that he ordered one last August and that he put down a $25000 deposit. To which I asked what the total cost was..... $75k. Hmmmm a $75k car for a Private... OK.

"Really, Private So-and-so?", I said, "I thought they MSRP'd starting at around $22k." To which he told me it was so much because he ordered the SS which comes stock with a 600 hp 10 cylinder VIPER engine!

"Well, that's weird", I said, "Last time I checked Chevrolet wasn't prodicing Camaros with Dodge engines." I let him stand there in confusion and after he decided it was in his best interests to shut his mouth I told him that since I already ordered an SS myself that came with a 6.2L V8 at 426hp that he just might as well start knocking out push-ups for lying to a non commisioned officer.

His arms are probably still tired.

My favorite is dealers. this conversation has happened more than once:

me: Do you have any camaros in stock
dealer: Yes we do
me: what package is it
dealer: its an rs
me: ok is it an ss or an lt
dealer: its an rs
me: ok I got that but is it an ss or an lt
dealer: no its an rs
me: ok is it a v6 or v8

OR

me: do you have any camaros in stock
dealer: nope, you wont find one, they are all sold
me: really becasue I have found several on lots, just not the ones I want
dealer: well what do you want
me: 2SS
dealer: yeah you won't find one of those until next year
me: REALLY... because I have found several just no the ones I want...


an I tell you these conversations have happened may times! Especially the first on... "ITS AN RS" DOH...

The other day, a guy walked up to me while I was looking at a camaro, and he told me GM planned to make the camaro for only one year

ok i went to my dealership about 5 months ago and asked about the camaro. the guy who thought i didnt know anything about the camaro said "wee only getteing niine per yeear" (imagine his accent) i said it was a regular production car and he said once again "wee only getteing niine per yeear" and then i asked if i could order one and he said "you can never order a car" then i told him "but you could start ordering october 13 2008" you knw what he said? he said "wee only getteing niine per yeear" then i left the dealership.

i still go to the dealership just to find him to finish the conversation but i never find him. i think he got fired or sumthin. but i am praying that i go one day and there is somone that will lie about the camaro.
