Rally stripes

I know this has been covered many times, but I am one 500.00 deposit away from my order being submited.
I picked a Victory red 2SS with black stripes the LT they had in stock was black with silver stripes [VINYL] what stripes are painted and what are vinyl and what are the ordering codes for both. The salesman was unclear on that info, I prefer paint
Thanks

None are painted...

There are a TON of stripe threads out there. Try searching on mother of all stripe threads.

All GM stripes, LPO, RPO and GMPP, are vinyl, not painted!

Some are done at the factory and some are at the dealership. But all are vinyl and not painted on, unless you get it custom!

Made my choice

I have to go to the dealer today to give him my deposit, and will change my pick to cyber grey stripes instead of black on victory red. Hasen't been ordered yet so there should be no problem. I think the glossy look of the grey stripes looks better than the flat black, reminds me of my former 70 Z28 with black painted stripes over red.
besides I trust factory installation more than the dealers
