New member mod question

Hello, I'm a new owner of a 2013 camaro SS but not new to the mod world. I have a 2009 Shelby gt500 with a long list of mods. I'm not looking to put a blower on the camaro as it is my daily driver but I would like to increase the rwhp.

My plan is a cold air intake, port the throttle body and long tubes with an off road x pipe. Then at some point get a custom grind on the cams.

So the question is what kind of rwhp will I gain from the CAI, ported TB, longtubes with x pipe and a tune?

Or is this the wrong direction? Thanks in advance

That sounds like a very good start. Do you have an auto or manual tranny? If you have a manual, I would expect between 395-415 rwhp, depending on the dyno and whether your car is a dyno dud (like mine) or a factory freak. If you have an auto, subtract about 20-30 rwhp from that estimate...

Before you do a cam, you might want to consider gears and/or a stall converter (if you have an auto). For a manual, most go with 3.91s or 4.10/4.11. Autos--around 3.70

I have a manual transmission, I never thought to change the gearing, a 3.91 sounds like it would be right on.
A local shop said a custom cam grind would cost $1995, seems high is that a fair price?
So far I am very impressed with the car and I do love the body style. The car came with a hurst short throw shifter and an upgraded exhaust- the mufflers have 2 tail pipes each it kinda looks like a vette exhaust. It also had the GM heritage grill which I took off and put the original back on- if anybody wants it I will give it away, it was on the car for a week- no blemishes,

Was that cam price including labor? If not that's too high I think. The big name vendors on here sell their cam kits (cam, springs, pushrods, timing chain - etc.) for $1400 or less. For the cam only you can get about any grind you want for a Comp cam for $399 - again that price from most any vendor.

Also, how can I get that grille from you if still available?

The $1995 includes installation, so maybe it's not so bad. The grille is available, I live in Florida so if your far away you just pay the shipping. The grille is white and is wrapped up.

You should be gaining a lot of power, but it's going to come down to which brands and how you get it tuned. You should make sure you have a reputable dyno tuner do you tune for the best results. After all of this work, you're going to be very happy with the performance.

You are definitely headed in the right direction! Intake, tune, exhaust, and port that throttle body should yield some solid gains. I have an awesome deal on a clearance catback and can package an intake for an even better deal. Shoot me a pm or call
