2SS Added Weight?
Hi,
How much weight does the 2SS package add? I'm a sucker for HUD and even the heated seats but not at a huge weight penalty. I tried searching but couldn't find anything. Thanks, Max |

Basically nothing if you wanna balance it out just change exhausts the stock mufflers weigh alomst 35 pounds. Or remove the spare tire that's about 40 of I remember correctly.

It's always been a dealer addon I believe. Only an idiot would get an extra option and then take it out when they get home lol.

No dealer spare tire option on an SS.
The wheels won't clear the front brake calipers.

Back on topic, does anyone know the actual weight? 35 or 40lbs?

Personally I'd be more concerned about spending 3K on bad leather, heated seats, a garage door opener, and HUD than I would be about how much it weighs. Take 3000 one dollar bills. Put them on a scale. That's how much a 2SS weighs. Seriously though, I doubt it weighs enough to worry about it.

Very little difference in weight. You'd save more taking a dump before the race.
There is no factory option for a spare on the SS. Never was. The brembos are to big for the LT/LS's to fit.

Nope said the guy that paid for all those things in his Trailblazer SS (sans HUD) and realized none of it was worth it. Especially in Florida. Also had enough with GM's crappy pleather in my Firehawk. For the record, both of the aforementioned cars were more expensive than a 2SS big spender.

To be honest if the leather and hid's weren't available for the camaro I probably wouldn't have bought it. Hell the interior in my 2ss feels cheap as hell as it is, couldn't imagine it being even cheaper. 2SS definitely worth it, as is the RS.
