Lightbulb HID projector retrofit in Non-RS headlight (PIC HEAVY)

First off, thank you to Caverman for helping me out. www.TheRetrofitSource.com. They were awesome to work with and have cheap prices on quality HID retrofit parts.

When I heard about Caverman getting TRS to retrofit it for him. I decided I could save myself around $200 by doing it myself...

I found out about projectors and the Morimoto products. I then decided that I would go that route.

"For those that want to know a price in case you want to do something similar here are the basics. Remember these are not cheap eBay products. This is quality stuff. Do a search on Morimoto and you'll see.

-Projectors, Ballasts, Shrouds, Bulbs, Relay harness: $270, $300 shipped
-Labor for install: $150 - $200
-Labor DIY: $0.00
-Expression when you see the difference in Non-RS and these bad boys: PRICELESS

If you want the RS look you can paint the halogen reflectors and the shrouds a flat black."

Here is the finished Housing and what I used:
-Morimoto Mini H1 projector
-Mini-Gatling Gun shrouds
-Morimoto 5000k bulbs

I'll try to get this picture thing working. Got it, scroll down!

I'm surprised that you and Caverman had the option for TRS to do the retrofit because I was wanting them to do mine (asked two weeks ago) and they said they don't perform that service and only ship out the parts for the buyer to do the work.

I tried doing my retrofit this past weekend, but I think I was sent the wrong relay. The plugs match up, so now my car is in pieces at a buddy's house until Monday when I can get TRS on the phone and figure it out. Congrats though man.

Here is some of the install
Don't worry on the bumper off pic, I just set it like that to take a picture. And also, I did not take many pictures from the putting the headlights in the oven to having the halo in because those you had to work quick.

Round three. My favorite round, results
On the low shot of the front fascia of my car it appears that the halos are split, however that is just from the rolling shutter of the camera (on my phone)
The last picture is what sits next to my car

Your results look great. I want to thank you for doing the research and taking the time to do this mod correctly versus just throwing a HID kit in the housings. You just don't know how pissed I get when some kid takes the easy way out and blinds me as I go down the road. Just want to pull them over and smash there headlights.
