No more black cars?!?!?!?!?
The guy that washes the cars at my dealer told me today that all orders for black cars are being cancelled because black cars get too hot causing the interior components to break down. He said there will officially be a constraint on black tomorrow but that all black cars that have not yet been produced will be sent back to the dealers so they can change the color.
Anyone else heard this? |

Don't take it as a joke. California has a law against new black cars because of that issue...or it might be a new law trying to be passed.

This is not true.
It would only be a couple degree's hotter but the components can stand up to a lot of heat. There is pressure from the global warming crowd to stop black cars but I doubt they will get away with it. |

LOL.
Thanks fellas for participating in "How to make up a rumor 101". First you take a topic that people care about... in this case our beloved Camaro. Then you find some grain of truth. In this case that stupid proposal that would never even have a chance in making it to a vote regarding black. Also just that black is a hot color. Then completely distort the facts and throw in a lil spice. Make it exciting. Finally, attribute it to some sort of source. Even though I attributed it to the guy who friggen washes cars at a dealership, noone seemed to mind. Even though there's been a ton of completely nonsensical rumor threads today, I figured another wouldn't hurt. At least a couple people got the joke. |
