Smile My Introduction (New Member)

Hey there, guys! Just thought I'd introduce myself. I have been lurking here for a while as a guest and reading threads, which really helped me out on a lot of decisions. So, i finally decided to sign up and am making my first post today. Just a little information about me:

-My name is Eric and I'm from Louisiana.
-I'm 17 years old, but if you met me in person, you couldn't tell. I'm 6'4" and I've been told I pass for 25.
-I'm not spoiled, even if it may seem like it. (I'll explain that in a second.)
-My Camaro is a 2012 V6 LFX. I earned the car myself, however. I didn't pay for it with my money, but I earned with hardwork. Sophomore year in High school I weighed close to 400 pounds (365 to be exact). One day I just got tired of all the ridicule and being so out of shape. I decided to go to a camp in Florida that helps young people change their lifestyle. I got all the way down to 240 pounds. When I got back, my parents said as a reward they would get me the car I wanted as long as it stayed within 30,000. My mother is a realtor down here and knows a lot of people since she has to talk to people to make a living, and fortunately she had sold the guy who owns the dealership, a house a few years ago, and he gave us a discount. Anyway, yeah, I guess I'm kind of spoiled, but I'm not stuck up in the least bit.
-I've been in to cars ever since I was a little kid collecting hot wheels. I always helped my dad work on his Nissan 300ZX since I was about 9. For a kid my age, I know a lot of stuff, as long as it interests me.

So far, I've put a K&N Cold Air Intake on and a MRT Axle Back V.1 on. Thats about it, performance wise. Style wise, I have some lighting from ORACLE that swapped out my dome light and trunk light and also put footwell lighting in. Also, I have an aftermarket sound system that consists of 3 10 JL Audio w1v2-8 subwoofers.

Well, that about sums it up. I hope I didn't come off sounding arrogant. My intentions were the opposite. I look forward to contributing to this forum, and any constructive criticism or advice is welcome.

- Eric

LOL, its funny that you mention that. I play basketball regularly, but not for my high school. On the other hand, whenever my parents introduce me to someone new, it's always the same response; "You a big ole boy! How old are you again? 17?! Dang sonny boy! You play football?! You look like a football player to me! Coaches must offer to pay you to play, son!" and so on. lol, it gets annoying after a while, but I know its all in good fun.

Eric, CONGRATS on the new ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
