How many miles logged before you noticed a change in gas mileage?
I am curious if the gas mileage gets any better? It seems to be getting slightly better after the last fill up. It is not a lot but some change. The car only has 750 miles on it. Still trying to keep it within the 1500 mile "break in recommendation.Oops I have gone 85 mph and hit almost 5K trying to merge lanes here in So Cal. The sticker says between 14mpg and 19mpg the best so far I saw was a 16mpg average!

Well first off, this is the wrong car for gas mileage, hence the gas guzzler tax. I'm getting better mileage now after 9.55 crank pulley, air aid cai and jre tune. Best hwy mileage I got going about 70 stock was right at 20, getting almost 22 now at the same speeds.

my milage has been pretty much the same as my first couple tanks. I have gotten 22mpg on a freeway trip driving for milage. I have gotten 14mph driving it around town hammering it.
depending on my driving habbits I still get about that to this day. boosted cars and milage require you to stay out of boost. even my crappy dart (they make 20psi) if I drive it for milage i get 38-40 hand calculated. if hammer it and allways get ino boost I get about 31. speed also impacts milage. driving this car over 75mph you milage will start to take a dirt nap and you can't get over 20mph even hwy.

Gas mileage? You have a supercharged muscle car and you're wondering about gas mileage? I have no idea what mine gets and I dont care to know. HP>>>>MPG!!!

Why know the gas mileage? ZL1 is not the car to car about that. Even if you know the gas mileage you will still get the same gas mileage. Knowing it does nothing except range, the info center will tell you that on the car.

....I've gotten like 12.8 from the get go....gas mileage and ZL1 are not synonymous. For gas mileage I have a VW TDI. Logic dictates...mega HP factory Camaro, with outlandlish ride and handling capabilties only surpased by ones nerve and ability to take it to warp 7....priceless and unquantifiable.

All joking aside.. From the beginning I had 19mpg city because i babied it on the way home. I noticed no difference before my first 1500miles after my first oil change; I've been getting on avg. normal driving about around 12mpg city/ 23mpg highway; spirited driving city I get around 11.2 to 19 highway thats from blipping the gas pedal when there's no traffic ahead of me. Calm down guys,LOL I was trying to get a baseline. I was just wondering if it got slightly better mpg after breaking in before I started modding it. I owned a 2002 supercharged Escalade. I am familiar with forced induction cars and gas mileage.

I think mine is about the same or slightly better going from about 14 to maybe 15ish lately. However, the AC isn't bring used which increases fuel economy and winter fuel blends reduce fuel economy because the gas produces less energy. It makes for a difficult comparison. The mandated stomp the gas to the floor and feel the tires break loose at 45 mph each time I take it out also affects gas mileage.

My ex brother in law used to drive 2.5 hours in the morning to work and 2.5 hours at night to get home and did this for about 5 years. (over 300 miles per day mostly highway split between 65 MPH and 50 MPH) In the five year period he went through 3 cars but kept extensive records of his gas mileage. He calculated that his cars started getting their best gas mileage around 50,000 miles. The products were GM and were bought new or with very little mileage on them. May not give you the answer with respect to the Camaro but opens eyes with respect to when cars in general start to get their best mileage.
