Problem with Radio.. Anyone else??

It's not just the cracking noise now after I have my iPod plugged in for so long
now my radio just stops working when it comes to MY media. i.e. the iPod or AUX port. just.....stops.. tried pulling over. turning it off opening the door. unplugging for so long.. different iPod.. different cords..
I got to my friends house, turned it off for about an hour, and went back in and headed home.. worked fine.
I was told it could be a fuse???? anyone else have an input?

Only problem I have had with Ipod is every now and then it starts crackling and it needs to be unplugged for a while. Plug it back up and it works fine again.

My radio doesn't turn off but I do get that cracking sound in my Cruze Eco. It has gotten to a point where I will not use an input device just the FM tuner

Highly doubt it is a fuse issue.
A fuse either works or it doesn't. Once it blows, it won't fix itself.

Sounds more like something in a circuit board.
Sometimes a bad solder joint or other issue can cause funny things.

Your Chevy dealer can do a software upgrade for the crackling sound concerning input, had that problem with mine and took it in no problem since

I'm assuming this is for a 2011...

Attached is a TSB that I was provided with from Sir Nuke in the H-Town Camaro Club when I had this issue. The service department will tell you that it's an old TSB and most likely only try to update the software. It helped a little bit for me but did not fix the problem 100%. They need to replace it completely if it's either the Cx or DA hardware version. If it is one of these and they don't replace it, it will not fix the issue. If it's the DB version then it most likely just needs an update. Keep on them about it. Hope this helps.

We apologize for the frustrations that you are currently experiencing. Have you been to the dealership to see if this is something they can diagnose for you? Please let us know.
