More power.

I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to adding mods for power, I have already added a new exhaust, CAI, and have a tune on the way. Now my question, Is there any way to get more power out of my 2012 LS? Any real suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Spray it or force induct it (turbocharge or supercharge).

I think they are still working on cam kits for the LFX?

It's really pretty high strung from the factory. I mean, it IS a a naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 making north of 300HP.

True they get plenty out of that V6, not too crazy about spraying it, will consider the turbo route, just wondering if there might've been something I was missing between going turbo and the current mods I have. I know that there are no headers available for the LFX because of the design as well. thanks for the advice.

currently no, would it be worth it to get them? I saw a couple of threads on here stating that the difference really isn't that noticeable, assuming you have them, would you recommend? I'm just running an axle back system for the time being...

I'll be honest with you, I have all the basic bolt ons in my car....axle back, cold air intake, throttle body, etc and aside from some improvements in low end throttle response my butt dyno hasn't noticed much. Throwing perhaps 20HP on top of 4000 lbs of car (with fuel and driver) simply isn't a drastic change. But it all sure made the car sound really cool and that was a actually a bigger concern to me than making it faster.

It would be nice if some adventurer would look into to porting the heads and having a downpipe built for the LFX. I'm guessing there is some power left on the table just by improving the exhaust flow.

I still wanna see a LFX with 3.91's in the a6 or 4.11 in the m6. I imagine that would get us the most bang for the buck.

This is exactly the mods I plan on doing along with rims and front splitter.

The tune should be noticeable for sure. Only mods left for you are a ported T/B and high flow cats. After that, your looking at what should be easily 350 - 360 or more HP at the crank. I say that is pretty dang good for a 3.6 V6 engine.

Past that, you need to look into forced induction if you want more.

If you want more power, id say your pretty much almost at the edge. If you want to go faster then you should look into wheels. The 1lt aluminum 18s are a great replacement for the steelies if you want to keep your tires and eliminate a ton of weight. That by itself will probably do as much to your car as all the mods you have right now

I shaved off nearly 10 pounds per wheel when I changed mine out. Makes a difference in all things that involve changing inertia: stopping starting, turning. It just feels lighter. I think mine were under $200 each, shipped, through Tire Rack.
