Windshield cracked - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Last night on 75 going south between Allen and Plano, something came out of nowhere, hit near the top on the passenger side. Very loud and very large.

Sucks, cuz I am sure windshields are just plentiful right now...

Also have to wait until Monday to find out what it's going to cost...

How big is the crack? It may of been a bird?

you have terrible luck.... i can see this happening to mine on the way home from the dealership cause i've always had bad luck. keep us posted..

No luckily no damage other than glass, it was right at the top thought it may have hit the roof. It was a long wait while we went on to our destination to find out how bad the damage was.

The main part is about 3 inches across but it spidered about half way down
Not a bird unless it was frozen or made of lead.. The impact was solid, and loud. Scared the crap out of my wife.

Just have to wait and see what my insurance glass coverage is... We'll see if Nationwide is on my side.

I'm not sure if it was a national or just florida ,but i think insurance companies just give you a winshield replacement voucher to get it fixed.No deductible required.I think it was mandated

when my truck had a crack in it I just payed out of pocket because it was cheaper than the deductable

This is the way our luck runs too. Brand new in 03' GMC....dump truck busted the glass. Brand New 08' GMC, crack along the bottom, Brand New 08' Yuke, rock thrown right in the center of the driver's side. Bummer for you, but more than likely for me too later.
