HUD Radio Info Display issue w/ MyLink after Bluetooth Audio

I am seeing a strange issue with my new '13 Camaro that I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing.

I noticed that sometimes when I start my car the HUD would not show any info regarding what is currently playing on the MyLink system, regardless of what source I am listening too. It still shows NAV data from MyLink though. It takes a full turn off/on of the car before it will start displaying the radio info again.

At first I thought the MyLink system in the car was just having an intermittent issue, and I was ready to give the dealer a call to setup a service appointment. Then I realized that there was a common thread amongst all the occurrences. That is, I turned the car off while streaming audio from Spotify from my phone.

I pair my iPhone 4S with MyLink via Bluetooth and play music from the Spotify App.

I tested this out and I can reproduce the issue every time. If I am not streaming audio via Bluetooth the HUD is fine and displays the proper data when I turn on the car.

So, has any seen this issue before? Is it a bug with the iPhone, Spotify or MyLink or some combination of those three or something wrong with my particular MyLink unit?

I have not noticed that happening. I will look for it though.

Similar problem here. Although as I left the car 1/2 hour ago, the HUD still wasn't displaying any information on any non-Pandora stations. I hadn't used Pandora since about 3 hours ago. The car was off for a couple of hours and when I started it again, I didn't have my smart phone with me. Earlier today, prior to using Pandora, the radio was displaying all the radio information. I tried restarting the car, turning the HUD off then on again but still no radio information. I have had issues with the fan indicator on my touch screen and I'm wondering if there is a connection here.

I'm having this same problem on my '13 Camaro. The HUD randomly decides to display the radio station and info and then stops. No rhyme or reason. Haven't taken it to the dealership yet. Had a bunch of other problems with the car that were more serious and now this.

I've seen this with my 2013 2LT as well.
Something I noticed is if I change the Channel then go back it seems to work properly, at least for a bit.

Wow. I didn't even know I had a problem until now - my HUD only displays XM channel info and NAV info. Nothing from any other source.

Hi RandomHB!

I was looking through your Owner's Manual, and on pages 5-30 to 5-31, it provides further information regarding the formats you can set for the HUD. I hope this information is helpful for you, and if you are still experiencing issues, I would be happy to arrange an appointment for you at your local dealership. Please keep me posted!

Jessica, a lot of us has been to the dealer for the problem of the song title not displaying in the HUD, mine has been there twice once for an update to try to fix and then a reset and clear. Bottom line dealer called tech support both times and did what tech said and the problem still exists intermittently. Sometimes it corrects itself by turning off and restarting car, though sometimes not. It is not and individual radio or HUD problem as it is happening to too many cars, Chevy needs to find the bug causing this, could be a ground problem since turning off and on sometimes helps.

Been to the dealer 2 times for the problem of the HUD not displaying the song titles. First time uograded firmware for HUD and MyLink. When I left the dealer it was working correctly but after a few days same problem. 2 nd time they cleared and reset the mylink but now a week later it is not displaying title of songs. With all the others having same problem it is the system not individual radio. By shutting the motor off then restarting it sometimes comes back, seems the mylink is nit coordinating with the HUD, bug in radio ir maybe a ground problem with the mylink system. ?

happens to me all the time - just ignored it till today, when the car lost the ability to play music via bluetooth entirely (as well as via USB - jsut indexes forever). No idea what's wrong, but with my current schedule, won't get time to take it in for at least a month :(
