Plastic Valve cover?

Does anybody have somthing like hard plastic valve covers on there LFX ??
Are they any better than aluminum?
Less weight? Weaker?

Factory valve covers are plastic on the LFX no other options availble.

I couldv sworn mine were aluminum before i got it back from the dealer. And i checked 3 2013 camaros on the lot and theres were aluminum..?

The intake manifold is plastic on the LFX, but valve covers remain aluminum.

If money is not an issue, there are companies out there that can make them out of Carbon Fiber....

Yeah thats what im thinking. The valve cover should be aluminum. I just got my car back from the dealer and it looks like they switched it to some black plastic material.
And no i just want my original aluminum valve cover haha

Bump.. Does anybody know what material there valve cover's made of? Metal? Plastic?
Specificaly the LFX engines

I searched and found alot of LTTs with plastic valve covers..but im positive that ive seen 3 2013 v6 lfx that have aluminum

Plastic Covers on the LFX Camaro

The valve covers on the LFX are plastic on the Camaro and aluminum on the Cadillac. If you see a v6 with aluminum covers it is most likely an LLT and not an LFX.

With the exception of : BrakePerformance slotted and drilled rotors, K&N filter, other misc bolt on's, Tint, Clear Bra, WhiteOut emblems, Painted Calipers
