VIN Production Number

VIN Production Number
I have a 2012 Camaro 45th. I was wondering the production number of my car. I know that info is in the vin number but, counting the vin numbers from right to left, how many numbers do I count in? Is it Five numbers or six?

Example:

If my Vin was 2G1QH4TJGC1234567 and counting 5 numbers in, from right to left, the production number would be 34,567

Am I correct in this? If I am wrong, Could someone fill me in on how to find this the correct way?

Thank you,

I believe you would have #134,567 in that example. The 6th digit in starts as a 1, and after 99,999 cars, it goes up to a 2. So then you would count the 6th digit in as 1 less than it is. At least that's how it was for 2010's.

IMO. For 2012 it's the 5 digits following the number 2 so it's 34,567. 2 made in 2012

For 2010 it's 1 before 5 last digits.

He's not using an actual VIN, it's just an example. Notice the last set of numbers is 1,2,3,4,5,6,7?

Numbering doesn't restart based on the trim level (i.e. 45th Ann., Transformers, etc). It's merely a sequence number in a sea of other Camaros produced within the same model year.

My signature is only accurate for the 371 number...the other is wishful thinkin'.
