No Steering Wheel Audio Controls on 1SS??? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I know the 1SS doesn't come with the BA sound system upgrade, but are there no controls on the sterring wheel, either?

Anyone have 1SS interior pics (steering wheel plz)?

Thats only available on the 2SS and 2LT, Sorry.

My 1SS does have the "Boston Acoustics 9 Speaker Audio System" so it is possible to get that with a 1SS.

Steering wheel controls are standard on 2SS and 2LT are available on the 1LT if you get the C&C package but the package is not offered on the 1SS or LS.

What I am curious about is I think that CamaroScotty has posted that you can get the C&C package dealer installed and I wonder if that only applies to the 1LT or if it would work for the 1SS or LS?

Such a drag dude! For some reason I thought it came with the controls. Oh, well. I guess if I didn't have the controls on my Nissan Titan, I wouldn't already be used to them. Hopefully, I will be having so much fun actually driving the car to notice....

It is too bad because the steering wheel controls rock! I had them on my 02 Monte SS and on my 08 HHR SS. I couldn't do without them now. Especially now that they control your iPod too!

Are you talking about the Personal Device Interface Module (PDIM)? I don't know if it includes steering wheel controls, but am pretty sure it does give you a USB port and bluetooth. I'm considering this myself.

I rarely know what I am talking about I just remember it was mentioned in a thread that someone said they were missing the C&C package and scotty mentioned something about addding it at the dealership and i dont know if it was everything in the package or just USB and Blutooth.

Yeah it kinda sucks, but it would have been better if they had them on the other side of the steering wheel. As it is now, the right hand is already pretty close to the radio anyway, and if you have have your hand on the manual shifter, the radio isn't that far away. It still would have been nice though to have with the upgraded audio especially since so many econoboxes have that standard these days. Blue tooth too for that matter... :(

I think it's kinda lame that GM makes the steering wheel audio controls a "premium" item on the new Camaro and the C6. Steering wheel controls were on my 2000 Z28 w/ Monsoon, and my '04 GTO. It should be standard, or, at least something included with the optional BA audio system.

I love the 1SS, all the stuff I really dont want/need is gone except for the gauge pack. Just more stuff to break.

I know with the standard 1SS there is no wheel controls but I did opt in for the Boston stereo upgrade so my questions is with a 1SS with the BA stereo upgrade does it then come with the steering wheel controls?
