What color splitter?

Soliciting opinions.

I've got CF ACS ports, CF side mirrors, and soon, a CF low-wing spoiler. Hood stripes are painted gloss black.

Which splitter would match that combo best; CF, gloss black, flat black, or rally yellow?

I'm thinking CF, but can barely dress myself.

On a light color car I think the spliiter should be black or CF. On a dark color car should be body color.

You've got CF pieces already. I'd do CF on the splitter too.

i say gloss black and also paint the lower grill gloss black i had real good luck with krylon fusion on my jeep's plastic parts and that thing is put through hell and back regularly and still looks great. the krylon fusion is made for plastic and chemically fuses itself to the plastic.

That's what I was thinking too but RPI suggested flat black or gloss so I started wondering if I needed something to complement the stripes instead of all the other CF parts. Hence the poll.

Right now CF is leading gloss 4-3.

I've used Fusion on my engine cover but it didn't take clearcoat that well. Besides, I had to take the fascia off to put the ACS ports in and don't relish that job again.

It wasn't hard, I'm just in the mood for simple stuff right now.

Carbon Fiber's leading the two blacks 6-3 (each).

Black would give you contrast and if you go gloss match your ports and stripes.

that's the thing, the ports are actually carbon fiber hydro. Gloss black would match the stripes while CF would match the ports, the side mirrors, and the low-wing spoiler I got coming. Just can't decide on whether the splitter should match the stripes or the other CF items.

you are missing another point. this splitter will get hit with MANY rocks. i spray canned mine flat black....that lasted about 2 weeks before it was dinged up so bad it looked like salt and pepper. what i wanted was a look like the stock grill (flat, slight texture if i could)...and after the first crap show - something that could be fixed easy...platidip! if i curb the splitter i can fix it...its also holding up MUCH better than paint did.

the 2nd tim i hit a tire tread on the highway and ripped off half of the splitter it dragged on the ground at 70mph...easy fix, respray the scruffed parts and remount.

Dude! Excellent point. I've plastidip'd my interior trim, "camaro" side letters, tail light bezels, and blacked out rear trunk so am a fan. Don't know why I didn't think of that. I got black and glossy plastidip in my shed already; I can try it flat or glossy. Might have a winner.

Good idea. Just got SLP splitter and going to do fushion gloss black to go with the bezels and grills I have. This maybe better

Black or Carbon for sure. I'd probably go with Carbon out of those two.
