The yellow jacket I have been messing with

A buddy of mine is waiting on his car now. Should be arriving in a few.... hell I dont know, it seems like he has been saying a few weeks for a for years. Any way, he plans to start a full tear down after summer and build the car ground up. He wants to do a Yellow Jacket theme. I have begun messing with it a little but havent started anything major, wheels, body clean up, and a temp idea for a large cowl CF hood.

Change the wheels to Midnight Silver or Polished Alum. and you have a winner. Those
wheels just put it way over the top.

I actually kinda like the rims.

What looks good in that picture that wouldn't look good in real life is the blacked out section on the door. It only works because the shadow hits it at that angle. It would look really odd and out of place on the actual car.

Black out the gills instead of that bottom band of black.

thanks guys, the stripes and hood are all just temp layers, he wants to yellow the entire car and then go nuts with the striping ( like a yellow jaket). Personaly, I like my cars like I like my woman, shaved and naked. I am not a big fan of emblems, molding, stripes door handles... you get the idea. As far as the wheels go, I thought no way at first, then when I put them on there they started growing on me a little. the car has a lot of work but I think it will look... well different at least.

That's sweet, but I'd like some black on the yellow rims for contrast. Great work!

I see the black in the rims now, but it should be in front of the yellow, I think... Or bigger. Anything to make it stand out more, because it looks like it was dipped in yellow in the one shot until you look closely.

I am not a fan of yellow cars what so ever, saying that I think this one is growing on me. There will be a lot of black added when I start brushing the body work in. Thannx for the comments

Might look neat with some of those longer hockey stripes, and with the bowtie yellow or black.
